It helps us to connect and learn other cultures that we may not be familiar with. We learn to respect each other and it unites people from different backgrounds. If you don’t know your culture and heritage, it means you don’t know where you come from and where you are going. It’s our culture and needs to be respected.

Why am I proud of my Mexican heritage?
I’m proud of my Mexican heritage because it’s something that’ll always be a part of me. My values growing up were really similar to the way my mom and dad grew up, both in Mexican households. It’s made me a very sweet and considerate person because of how my parents raised me.
