Do grades matter in IIMs?

Having completed a year at IIM Indore, I have realised that grades indeed matter a lot. However, it is more about the priorities that you have set for yourself. Grades are important in a b-school, but so are numerous other things.

What is a decent CGPA in IIM?

In almost all IIM’s there is the system of relative grading. If you want to have an all round B-School experience, maybe stay within the 2.75-3 CGPA range (which is considered average-good) and try your hand at clubs, committees, live projects, competitions etc.

It depends upon you how smartly you are able to give the answers.

How can I prepare for IIM B?

This strategy really helped me a lot….So the first thing I did was set up a daily target which was to be fulfilled anyhow.

  1. Read the editorials from atleast two newspapers daily.
  2. Practice 5 RCs daily.
  3. Practice around 6-8 sets of DILR daily.
  4. Solve a chapter of Quant daily.
