I started watching it right after finishing Naruto Shippuden but I noticed it takes place way after Boruto starts, so I wanted to wait to avoid any kind of spoilers or misunderstandings. The movie is basically just the regular episodes but instead of every battle being 10-15 minutes they are like 2 minutes.
