Chimps seem to have high pain tolerance so I (not an MMA fighter but still) wouldn’t do any blows softer than a kick or an elbow. Even with chimpanzees shrugging off punches and kicks in recorded encounters, I can’t imagine one shrugging off a kick to the throat. That would minimally disrupt the chimp’s breathing.
