Do cops and paramedics get along?

A lot would depend on where the EMTs and police are. Some departments are more territorial or isolationist than others. Speaking for my own area, police, fire and EMS get along very well. We all have different parts of public safety we are responsible for with a little overlap.

Why do cops show up with ambulances?

They respond to medical calls and determine if transport is needed. They call for an ambulance. If there are any police in the area they may stop by to see if help us needed, but unless the original call indicates police help is needed, they don’t usually arrive.

Police work is particularly dynamic and no day is the same. Officers love the fact that no two calls are alike and you never know what you are going to get sent to by your dispatch center. It is often very exciting and spotted with adrenaline dumps.

Yes, there are people who simply don’t like them. However, the majority of the general public is still thankful for the help and security police officers ensure on our streets. Imagine a world without police. Chances are that there would be many more robberies and other unpleasant things.

Police work can affect or sway our behavior to a greater degree of positivity, too. Those attributes we contract from experience tend to become permanent character traits. We can’t sit still nor do we seem to have the mindset at times to settle down at home.
