Kokoro Connect is exceedingly mediocre. It is not bad by any definition of the term – the artwork, voice acting, and one particular character (you know who) are great and deserve commendation in an artistic medium saturated with high school romantic dramas.

In summary, Kokoro Connect is mediocre. Its higher than average production values, good voice casting and pretty good character in Inaban prevent it from being a failure, but so many other aspects of the show drag it down from being at least a decent watch.

Kokoro Connect takes a rather simplistic approach to psychology – probably out of necessity as delving too far into matters of identity is a head wrecking experience (which I suddenly remembered when I dug out the old Psychology text books to refresh my memory).

Kokoro Connect starts off pretty tame but develops really well. It’s is an anime that has very interesting characters and character development. Honestly for me it was an emotional roller coaster. I enjoyed it a lot and I think it was worth every minute of it.

Kokoro Connect brings a very interesting twist to the “slice of life” genre, with some magical elements as well. The characters were my favorite part of the show, probably. They are extremely well thought out, with plenty of depth. But I could relate with all the characters on some level, and I felt I was with them.
