Can you dry fire a spring piston air gun?
Since the first spring air rifle was manufactured, there have been problems with dry firing. That’s another reason why modern airguns are capable of surviving a few accidental dry fire shots. Remember every time you dry fire, you run the risk of causing serious damage to your springer/gas ram air rifle.

We use this shop-made tool to remove ours. The tool is two pieces of square stocked welded together with a screw driver blade ground into the bottom of the “T”.
