What does meet you where you are mean?

Meeting someone where they are means putting aside our wants for them, whether those wants are in service to them or not, and endeavoring to understand where they are in their journey. It begins by listening without judgment, asking questions openly and honestly, and above all recognizing that they are human.

If you met up with an older version of yourself, we know with absolute certainty that once you age into that older self, you will be there to meet your younger self.

Any action or information you gave yourself, your future self would know you already gave yourself and would negate any reason to have heard it at all. Any choice you make- would make no difference. For example- shoot your future self. You, whom will soon become your future self knows you shot yourself in the future, can you avoid the inevitable?
