Anant Chaturdashi / Ganesh Visarjan is a festival observed and celebrated by Jains and Hindus. Anant Chaturdashi is the last day of the ten-day-long Ganesh utsav or Ganesh Chaturthi and is called Ganesh Chaudas when devotees bid adieu to Lord Ganesha by Anant Chaturdashi Ganesh Visarjan.
What is Chaudas?
In the Hindu calendar, Chaturdashi is the 14th day (Tithi) of the waxing phase or waning phase of the moon. This is the day prior to new moon (Amavasya) or full moon (Pournami).
