What would happen if you exit the universe?

What would happen if you exit the universe?

If you went beyond the edge of Universe then there would be no matter, gases or dust, but look behind you and you could still see the Universe as light will have travelled onwards. And possibly unimaginable distances away, you could see other Universes, because if there can be one, there can be more of them.

Can you go outside of the universe?

The universe, being all there is, is infinitely big and has no edge, so there’s no outside to even talk about. Oh, sure, there’s an outside to our observable patch of the universe. The cosmos is only so old, and light only travels so fast. The current width of the observable universe is about 90 billion light-years.

What would happen if you went beyond the edge of the universe?

You would see the same as you would in ordinary space. The universe expands at the speed of light, so light would not be able to bounce off the “edge of the universe” in order for it to be reflected back into your eyes.

What lies at the end of the universe?

The end result is unknown; a simple estimation would have all the matter and space-time in the universe collapse into a dimensionless singularity back into how the universe started with the Big Bang, but at these scales unknown quantum effects need to be considered (see Quantum gravity).

When does existence end?

22 billion years in the future is the earliest possible end of the Universe in the Big Rip scenario, assuming a model of dark energy with w = −1.5. False vacuum decay may occur in 20 to 30 billion years if the Higgs field is metastable.

When is heat death of the universe?

The ‘heat-death’ of the universe is when the universe has reached a state of maximum entropy. This happens when all available energy (such as from a hot source) has moved to places of less energy (such as a colder source). Once this has happened, no more work can be extracted from the universe.

When will the Earth explode?

Four billion years from now, the increase in Earth’s surface temperature will cause a runaway greenhouse effect, creating conditions more extreme than present-day Venus and heating Earth’s surface enough to melt it. By that point, all life on Earth will be extinct.

What would happen if we got beyond the universe?

But if we (somehow) got beyond the Universe, we would either discover that there is more than one Universe (multi-verse), or otherwise discover that the Universe expanding is true, and when you are at the edge of the Universe, you discover that you aren’t at the edge YET.

What lies outside of our universe?

And outside of our universe might lie a much bigger universe. We’re merely confined in a black hole inside of it. Another theory suggests that the not yet observable part of our universe contains more universe. Nothing else. More stars, galaxies, and clusters in an infinitely expanding space.

Is there a bigger universe outside of our universe?

Each of these phenomena may contain a universe much like our own. And outside of our universe might lie a much bigger universe. We’re merely confined in a black hole inside of it. Another theory suggests that the not yet observable part of our universe contains more universe. Nothing else.

What would happen if you fall off the edge of the universe?

Being burnt to death, due to the edge of The Universe being thousands of degrees Celsius. (This could be due to the build up of heat and solar radiation from all the stars, which The Universe contains).
