WHO CONTROLS THE NAVAGRAHAS? Navagrahas controlled by only Lord Shiva , lord Shiva is Lord of all 9 Planets , lord Shiva also called NAVAGRAHESHWARA . Navagrahas only installed in lord Shiva temple.
How to Perform:
- Perform Navagraha Pooja to start the ritual.
- Recite the Stotras on each day of the week as given below.
- Donate items as suggested below.
- Complete chanting of Beej Mantras as specified in the Mantras section.
- Visit Navagraha temple when possible.
- Perform Puja and Havan to complete.
How many times should we go around navagraha?
Worshiping Navagraha is scientifically connected, as in South India we should come around them for 9 times in clockwise direction and there are specific mantras for each deity, if possible we can also chant them by understanding their meaning.
What does Shiva the God Look Like?
Shiva is usually depicted as white, from the ashes of corpses that are smeared on his body, with a blue neck, from holding poison in his throat. His wears a crescent moon and the Ganges River as decorations in his hair and a garland of skulls and a serpent around his neck.
There is always a barrier that separates the Navagrahas and the devotees. You should never try to cross the barrier or to touch the Navagrahas.

Take a proper bath, arrange a seat and put Navagraha Yantra on it. Sprinkle Panchamrit on it and offer flowers. After the puja, chant Navagraha Mantras. Then, keep the yantra in puja house and worship regularly.

1. You should not treat the Navargrahas either equal or greater than the Lord Shiva and other Gods. It brings the heavenly curse on you. 2. Worship/Puja for Navagrahas should be done only after the Worship/Puja for the Gods.
Should we look at the Navagrahas while performing pooja?
You should look at the Navagrahas while performing the pooja. Any pooja performed without looking at the deity may cause negative effects. It is a common practice to close one’s head or bow the head when pooja is done. This it often done due to respect. But for the pooja to create positive effects in you, you must look at it while it is happening.
The navagraha temple on top of Chitrasal Hill in Guwahati, Assam, has nine Shivalingas representing the nine celestial bodies, each covered with a garment of the colour that represents the particular graha. The Shivalinga in the centre is symbolic of Surya.
