So I am more skeptical of affection if anything. I got really pissed when I realized that my guy friend was romantically interested in me.

So I am more skeptical of affection if anything. Along with not thinking you deserve it due to negative self-perspective, another reason it can happen is because the person is not used to kindness/affection. I react that way because it’s annoying and disruptive.
