The most recent report says that the Tesla Cybertruck will not start production until late 2022. As the end of 2021 gets closer, the company says the trucks will start production in 2022. It’s difficult to say whether this delayed introduction is realistic.

How efficient is the Cybertruck?

The Tesla CyberTruck uses about 1/3 as much energy per mile as an old Ford Pinto! Of course, the Tesla Cybertruck probably isn’t going to be more efficient than the rest of Tesla’s lineup, or some other EVs for that matter, but it should blow away today’s gas-powered pickup trucks.

When Tesla unveiled the Cybertruck back in 2019, Tesla said that the electric pickup truck would make it to market by the end of 2021.
